Not as crisp and crunchy like the Lardy Cake I used to have in Cheltenham in the early 70’s and a bit doughy. Seemed to be missing lard.
Might have got 5 stars if it had had met my expectations.

Bought 2 lots of these, one for the family and one as a present for a friend who loves them and can't buy them locally. We all thought they were lovely, gooey, tasty, fruity and delicious!

Not quite as I remember them, I used to have them from a butcher in 1964 Square ones which had a stonger taste of lard, or maybe my taste buds are not as they were due to all the strange food I have eaten since then.

I’d say these Lardies are just like mother used to make, except Ma with all her culinary skills (and she was good like) couldn’t have made anything as superb as these little beauties.
Ooh they are good …yum yum!
