Local café & bakery, Huffkins will re-open for outdoor service from Monday 12th April, subject to government guidelines.
Customers can soon enjoy a coffee and cake outdoors again as they watch the world go by. Huffkins has confirmed it will have ample outdoor seating available at its Burford, Cheltenham Promenade and Witney locations.
From 12th April, a group of up to six people from different households, or two households of any size, can meet outdoors. People within these groups will be able to sit together outside and enjoy food and drink while social distancing. While these dates are not guaranteed, the guidance have given people something to look forward to again and the country has its fingers crossed.
Josh Taee, Managing Director of Huffkins, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be re-opening outdoors from 12th April. This will be the first time that many people will see and socialise with family and friends after months of isolation. As a family run bakery, it means a lot to us to offer people a space to reconnect after so long. Hopefully the sun will be shining so people can really make the most of it.”
Serving delicious cakes, mouth-watering savouries and artisan coffees, Huffkins is renowned for its authentic Cotswolds quality. Perhaps most famous is their traditional afternoon tea, which they expect to be a popular choice upon re-opening.
Taee continues: “Our Afternoon Tea is always a popular choice and we’ve had lots of locals telling us how much they’re looking forward to visiting again for it. But we’re also excited for customers to try some of our newer menu items. Our new cakes have already proved popular for takeaway during lockdown and there’s a lot more to come.”
Huffkins are currently investing in a state of the art bakery fit out in the Cotswolds. The new-look craft bakery is planned to be commissioned shortly to service ongoing high demand online and a forecast strong return to high street trading during Summer 2021.
